Ruth graduated in New Zealand in agricultural science and completed further studies in Australia specializing in viticulture.
With a background as a viticulturist and vineyard manager, Ruth began working for Mr Ian Oatley 9 years ago, as the Wooloomooloo Olive Grove and Vineyard Manager, with a brief to focus on premium quality fruit production.
5 years ago the Wooloomooloo olive press, from where the Robert Oatley Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced, was installed. Ruth undertook further technical training and is the oil maker for Robert Oatley Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The same principles of outstanding quality production, this time in the form of super premium extra virgin olive oil, are followed.
Ruth is an olive oil judge, and has judged at state, National and international olive oil competitions.
